History of the RKF

The very first club was arranged in Moscow in 1859 and included the hunting dogs only. Three years later “The Empire Society of hunting & utility animals breeding and right hunt” (ES) headed by Count S. Sheremetev was set up also in Moscow. The definition “Empire” meant that that Society was under the patronage of the Emperor. The first ES All-breed Dog Show was held in 1873.
