Sieger Show - Ulm

Western Europe - Germany

A CHANGE of judge at this prestigious event this year saw Rudiger Mai, who replaced Breed Warden Reinhardt Meyer, judge the Gebrauchshundklasse Ruden (Open Working class males). Herr Mai awarded 14 VA titles and found his Sieger in last year’s winner Remo vom Fichtenschlag.

I WAS delighted to be invited to judge at the 40th Anniversary show of The German Beagle Club. We left the damp overcast skies of England to arrive on a bright sunny day in Cologne to be met by the Chairman of the Mittelrhein group and guide to our hotel for the weekend.

A top win for a Tibetan Terrier with a British owned Pointer in Reserve spot crowned a busy weekend in Dortmund. This followed a super win for Barbara Bruns and Wolfgang Stamp in the National Show with their Samoyed.
