This mark eclipses Crufts’ highest figure and without any doubt establishes Morris and Essex as the world’s greatest dog show.” Of course, this review of the show was written in 1939. Crufts has continued to grow and prosper, with current entries in excess of 20,000. 


Vince Hogan reports In our first look back on the European Dog Show which took place near Oslo last weekend, it seems a shame that the comments which we are hearing most are negative; many exhibitors are expressing disappointment on social media that this flag ship event seemed flat and never seemed to ‘take off’ as other top FCI events have done in the past. 


I wondered if the increase in entries for the Belgian dog shows had something to do with the Baby Class that is always so lovely to see. All those little soldiers lining up in the main ring and presenting themselves to the world. The catalogue of the show of Liège has several statistics, and one of them shows the number of dogs per class.


Not by being the most exciting or hard competition made this the hottest show of the Debrecen Double International, simply just the air temperature, it was one of the hottest weekends in Hungary, it was about 36-37 degrees in shade. For ten years now, two international dog shows have been held in a weekend.


The Turkish Kennel Club, held two International Night Shows on the 25th & 26th of July, in Istanbul. BIS on Saturday under Judge Mr Cristian Stefanescu from Romania, was the Dogo Argentino, Goldinalena Leyland, owned by K. S. Drovdov. Reserve was the Papillon, Vincent Vom Schwabenhof, owned by Irina Nilova; and Third, the UK Bred American Akita,
