Dutch KC responds to resignation

The Dutch Kennel Club has responded to the story we published last week about the resignation of Arjan Sterk as President of the biggest Pug dog club, Commedia, in the Netherlands.


Ziggi is a star in Portugal

Jespersen’s Ziggi Wiggi at Mopseyscoton won Best of Breed for the Coton de Tulears rated Excellent and gained a CAC in Portugal under FCI judge Pedro Delerue at the 27 Nacional do Alto Altentejo Championship Dog Show in Arronches, Portugal.


THE RECENT Estonia Australian Shepherd Dog club show had an entry of 55 for world-renowned judge Mrs Connie Redhead (Landmaster acd Australia). 


The German Kennel Club, the VDH, has introduced a fitness test for Pugs. The club wants to identify, ‘the most resilient dogs among the pug population in order to establish the healthiest possible pool of dogs for breeding.’


FCI seeks show improvement

The FCI have held an extraordinary meeting of the General Committee during their second Judges Congress which took place in Acapulco, Mexico immediately following the America’s and Caribbean Section Show, to discuss procedures regarding World and Section shows.


New FCI President, new era

Tamas started with Cocker spaniels and later on with all sizes of short-haired Dachshunds and also, more recently, Magyar AGárs. He has also successfully competed with his Poodle.


The Dutch government has announced it is going to actively enforce laws to prohibit the breeding of dogs whose muzzles are considered too short.


Over the last three years, members of the Austrian Kennel Club have attended a number of  European Shows and FCI Meetings to present and promote the EDS in Wels.

    Moscow Show 2019 THE SUPREME BIS winner, following three days of international competition in Moscow, was the Alaskan Malamute, Svetlana Balan’s Alaskan Malamute, Mal Planet Ford Mustang. The judge was Eugene Yerusalimsky.

    Well a timely finish to the show with all judging complete just after 5pm. Best in Show was Sue Ellis’ Alaskan Malamute Champion Chayo Cause Celebre coming through as Ann Ingram’s choice to top the working group.

    Winning his 11th group at the show, Mark the Australian Shepherd dog went on to ‘top the lot’ under famous all rounder Albert Wight at what many people call a true exhibitors’ show at Bingley Hall in Stafford last weekend.
