TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 4, 2020 AT 11AM SHARP - WHAT: In advance of the 144th Annual Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show, held Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday, Feb. 9-11 at Pier 94 and Monday and Tuesday at Madison Square Garden, the club is kicking off a new decade by introducing a Westminster debut breed — the Azawakh — as well as taking a look back 100 years to the Roaring Twenties decade when Terriers ruled the Best in Show ring at Westminster.
In a nod to prohibition no more, the club is also unveiling the “Sensation” cocktail, in the purple and gold colors of Westminster, which dog lovers can enjoy during their own Garden Watch Party while following their completed Purina Pro Plan(R) Westminster Bracket Challenge. Agility Competitors from the 7th Annual Masters Agility Championship on Saturday, Feb. 8 at Pier 94 will demonstrate their athletic abilities over obstacles and through weave poles at The New Yorker Hotel, built in 1929 on Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at 11 am.
