The FCI Centenary Winner Show 6 to 8 May 2011, Dortmund, Germany
OUR DOGS is pleased to make the following announcement in association with The German Kennel Club; The Fédération Cynologique Internationale was established on 22 May 1911 by five European nations. One hundred years later, the "FCI Centenary Winner Show" event will take place in Dortmund and will be the starting point of various special events in the FCI Centenary Year, 2011.
The German Kennel Club (VDH) is holding this unique international event from 6 to 8 May 2011 at the same time as its usual Europasieger-Show and OUR DOGS will be there, not only as the International Media partner for the event but also with a stand in HALL 6 next to our friends from Holland who are promoting the European Show in September.
In addition to the Champion International de Beauté, the FCI will be awarding an additional champion title in 2011, the FCI-Centenary Champion.
To win this title you need at least 2x CACIB or 1x CACIB + 2x Res-CACIB from the three FCI centenary shows (the FCI Centenary Winner Show in Dortmund, the FCI Centenary World Dog Show in Paris, the FCI Centenary European Section Show in Leeuwarden).
This title makes it possible for your dog to enter the Champions Class. In addition, by gaining one CACIB at one of the 3 above shows or at the 2010 Brussels Dog Show, your dog qualifies for the FCI Centenary World Champion of Champions in Brussels in 2011.
At the same time, the German Kennel Club will be holding the VDH-Europasieger-Show - so people who have entered twice can win further titles and the CACIB two times during just one weekend. Even if you have not entered the show it promises to be a great weekend so visitors are welcome. Ticket prices on the VDH web site.

Readers and exhibitors should now be aware that in 2012 there will be a German Festival at Birmingham National as the Society has invited 12 German judges to judge the 27 Germanic breeds at their event in Stafford. OUR DOGS is also promoting this aspect for Birmingham in Dortmund this year.
Birmingham are to be congratulated for ‘thinking outside the box’ to bring something different to exhibitors at a time when it is thought that people are having to consider which shows to enter even more because of rising fuel costs.
