The Helsinki Double Show was a spectacular end to the chain of Scandinavian main shows. It started in Denmark in November, at Herning, then there was Oslo, or actually Lilleström in Norway where there was also the Nordic Winner show, then Swedish Winner Show at Stockholm and the last and the biggest one of them all, the Helsinki weekend.
Time seems to have flown as it does not seem to be one year ago when I was reporting on the Philippines Circuit shows and yet…there we were again, in the Areneta Coliseum in the heart of Manila watching this very special event unfold once more.
In this day and age when clubs are trying hard to reinvent themselves in every which way, to compete for declining exhibitor numbers, the team at the Geneva dog show headed by Laurent Pichard and Barbara Muller should give themselves a pat on the back for a job well done.
The Best in show at last weekend’s European Dog Show held in Warsaw, Poland was the Dalmatian, Multi Ch Dalmino Voodoo Vision (age nine years), owned and bred by Zeljka Halper from Croatia and handled by Atilla Schlosser. The judge was Andrzej Kaźmierski, the President of the Polish Kennel Club.
