BIS on Day 1 in Denmark at the big DKK show in Herning which was judged by Nina Karlsdotter (Sweden) and her winner was the Samoyed (Samoyedskaya Sabaka) Cabaka's Kiss The Rain, owned by Gitte Morell and Nana Maibøll Qvist.

The Best in Show of the Bremadog’s Top Dog of Italy Show was the Maltese, Cinecitta Ian Somerhalder, bred and owned by Franco Prosperi and Stefano Paolantoni. Judges were Francesco Cocchetti, Gianfranco Bauchal, Ferdinando Asnaghi and Dorota Wikowska.

With 3,231 entries nothing was alarming for the committee of one of the most successful shows of Belgium. For years now this show has attracted over 3,000 dogs from all over Europe and a lot from the United Kingdom. This year 23 countries were represented and 202 UK entries. About half of the entries were Belgian dogs...

Vince Hogan reports In our first look back on the European Dog Show which took place near Oslo last weekend, it seems a shame that the comments which we are hearing most are negative; many exhibitors are expressing disappointment on social media that this flag ship event seemed flat and never seemed to ‘take off’ as other top FCI events have done in the past.

I wondered if the increase in entries for the Belgian dog shows had something to do with the Baby Class that is always so lovely to see. All those little soldiers lining up in the main ring and presenting themselves to the world. The catalogue of the show of Liège has several statistics, and one of them shows the number of dogs per class.

Not by being the most exciting or hard competition made this the hottest show of the Debrecen Double International, simply just the air temperature, it was one of the hottest weekends in Hungary, it was about 36-37 degrees in shade. For ten years now, two international dog shows have been held in a weekend.

The Turkish Kennel Club, held two International Night Shows on the 25th & 26th of July, in Istanbul. BIS on Saturday under Judge Mr Cristian Stefanescu from Romania, was the Dogo Argentino, Goldinalena Leyland, owned by K. S. Drovdov. Reserve was the Papillon, Vincent Vom Schwabenhof, owned by Irina Nilova; and Third, the UK Bred American Akita,

It's hard to imagine a more picturesque setting than the venue for the 21st “Rose of Kotka” in Finland. The location for the International All Breeds Dog Show on August 15th was Katariina Seaside Park located at the southernmost tip of Kotka, a 20 hectare versatile park and recreational area which enjoys active use throughout the year.

These charming little dogs probably have their origin in the Pinscher breeds and the British white terriers that Jack Russell and Fox Terriers also originate from. There are many paintings and photographs of these farmdogs from the 1800s to early 1900s although from paintings from the 1400s you can see dogs that are similar to todays Farmdogs.

At the CACIB in Innsbruck, Austria, Saturday’s BIS was the Siberian Husky, Ankalyn Iris Goo Goo Dolls owned by Tomei Paolais, pictured here with the BIS Judge, Andras Korosz; Group Judge, Jadranka Mijatovic and Breed Judge, Vija Klucniece.
