BIS on Day 1 in Denmark at the big DKK show in Herning which was judged by Nina Karlsdotter (Sweden) and her winner was the Samoyed (Samoyedskaya Sabaka) Cabaka's Kiss The Rain, owned by Gitte Morell and Nana Maibøll Qvist.
Top Spaniel in Denmark is the American Cocker Spaniel, BIS winning Multi Champion Galaksi This Is Me. He is two and a half years old, he is also Top Gundog and Top Dog All Breeds 4 in 2014. In 2013 he won the BBE Group at Eukanuba. He is bred and owned in Denmark by Lotte & Michael Kristensen.
With his BIS at the first show of the season Esmann has been leading all year, even if the gorgeous bullmastiff got a little too close at the end!! Ch Bubbleton Feel The Spirit was bred by Jesper Ravn & Klaus Andersen and is owned by Steen Vonge & Jesper Ravn.
I WAS delighted to be invited back to Denmark for the fifth time to judge the last show of the year in Herning, Denmark on November 1st and 2nd, with an increased entry of over 4,000 dogs over the two days, the second day being the Danish Winners Show and the finals for the years top awards of 2014!
I was honoured and delighted to be invited to judge the Border Collie Club of Denmark’s Champ Show at Vallensbaek where the hospitality couldn’t have been better. Grateful thanks to Secretary Felicia Olsen and her committee for all their help and kindness throughout my stay. Thanks also to my lovely ring steward Julie.
In the evening after judging I was taken by Felicia and Ina Jorgensen to the Spisestedet Mosen, a lovely lakeside restaurant where the views were quite breathtaking, a wonderful way to end the day and thaw out from all the wind and rain.

On February 22 it was time again for Denmark’s most prestigious show of the year, the Winners Show. This is a Gala Show filled with glitter and glamour with the qualified top winning dogs from last year. It has been arranged by Ulf Fjelsted Jorgensen every year since 1981, with good help from his wife, Lotte Jorgensen.
At the Czech Champion of Champions Competition 2014 held in Prague on January 10th, 2015, the BIS winner was the Saluki, Kryrisma Anistana Avatar At Yaran, owned by Eva Krejci from the Czech Republic. Reserve BIS was the Newfoundland, Over The Top King Of Helluland, bred, owned and handled by Sona Krocko from Slovakia; and Third was the Dandie Dinmont Terrier, Caesar Amabilisdandie, owned by Marie Musilkova from the Czech Republic.
Best in Show at the European show in Brno last weekend was the Wire Fox Terrier, Ch King Arthur Van Foliny Home, expertly handled and presented by Warren Bradley from Wales. This dog is owned by Victor Malzoni from Brazil and on the same day, Victor also took Best in Show at Midland Counties in the UK with Ch Travella Striking Steel, Wire Fox Terrier. Quite a double!
The Czech Republic in the heart of Europe hosted this years European Dog Show in the city of Brno.

The Duo CACIB Brno shows are beginning to build themselves a reputation as ‘must do’ shows in this part of Eastern Europe. This was the sixth time this weekend of two international CACIB shows has been held and over the two days attracted an entry of 8033 dogs, which is quite an achievement.
THE Champion of Champions Show 2013 was held in Prague in the Czech Republic on the 25th January, 2014, with 155 Champions taking part.
There were 25 Judges on duty for the show, including Tamas Jakkel from Hungary, Linda Volarikova, Viera Staviarska and Vladimir Piskay, all from Slovakia.
