Lommel 2019

Written by Karl Donvil
We get used to this show as one of the sunniest in Belgium. But that does not mean it is hot, at least not inside.

Gent 2019

Written by Karl Donvil
With only 1,061 dogs on Saturday and 972 dogs on Sunday, this edition of the once prestigious show of Gent was the poorest ever. Several years ago this show was held only every two years.

Lovanium 2019

Written by Janelle W Robbins
One of the advantages of living part-time in the UK is the effortless ways to travel to Europe, especially France and Belgium.

Antwerp Winner & Brabo Winner

Written by Karl Donvil
Antwerp had its first double show, hoping to have a lot of entries, more than two years ago, when they had 2,152 dogs. Last year was not bad either with 1,826.

Weelde CACIB Show 2019

Written by Karl Donvil
Happy faces all over, the entry grew dramatically from 1,371 dogs in 2018 to 1,769 this year. That made a big difference! Could it be that people are finally finding their way to Weelde, which is a rather remote place.

Mouscron 2019

Written by Karl Donvil at 123dog.net
Where this show used to be well attended in the past, sometimes even overbooked, the number of entries this year did not live up to its expectations.

LKV - Genk

Written by Charlotte Olsthoorn
Every year, Genk plays host to a dog show organised by the LKV (Limburgse Kynologen Vereniging). A busy show with 1,880 dogs entered. Most of the dogs entered came from Belgium, with Germany and the Netherlands following closely.

It seems like my call in the desert has been heard. The Royal Society St Hubert (Belgian Kennel Club) has decided to stop double shows from next year on.

Kortrijk Eurodogshow 2018

Written by Karl Donvil
This was a double show, like so many others nowadays, but Kortrijk had a valid excuse, the famous German show of Dortmund had changed its date, it was exactly the same date as Kortrijk, imagine!
