We bid farewell to a man who didn't just participate in the "dog game"—he shaped its very evolution over four remarkable decades. Born on May 8, 1948, Mr. Sudarsan’s life was a testament to dedication.
As a long-serving Secretary and Treasurer of the Kennel Club of India (KCI), he was the administrative heartbeat of the organization. His influence, however, stretched far beyond ledgers and rulebooks; he was a mentor, a visionary, and a bridge between the local community and the global stage. For those of us at OURDOGS, his loss feels particularly poignant.
We were honoured to stand beside him just one week ago, acting as International Media Partners for his 150th Anniversary Show. Watching him officially open that show—an event that served as a crowning jewel for his years of service—was a moment of pure history. Mr. Sudarsan was more than an official; he was a legend who carried the institutional memory of Indian cynology at the Kennel Club...
His presence at a show commanded respect, yet his passion for the breeds and the exhibitors always shone through. The void left by Mr. Sudarsan is immense. The rings will feel a little quieter, and the trophies a little less bright without his signature oversight. Rest in peace, sir; your legacy is etched into every pedigree and every podium in India.
